Why I Stopped Doing “All The Things”

Ms Peach Plus - Why I Stopped Doing All The Things

I mentioned in my last post that I’m revamping Ms. Peach Plus Designs, and I’m so excited to share the changes that I’m making to my business and how this is better for you, friends.

In the post, “What’s Your Sign?”, I wrote that “signs are my absolute favorite projects to complete.”

That should’ve been my sign right there…

I love hand lettering and calligraphy. It’s just as much of a passion for me as teaching. My problem lies in the fact that because I love my craft, I want to see it on everything. Mugs, tees, towels, blankets, glasses, you name it!

It took a talk with one of my sweet friends to realize that even though I’m able to create all of those things, I’m not passionate about them. They don’t make my heart sing as much as creating a custom sign does. I told her that earlier this year, I created a flower bar sign for my friend, Ronisha, of Warren+Forrest, and I remember looking over at my mom and saying, “I could do this every day for the rest of my life.” Every. Day. Y’all!

This is my reminder to listen to my gut. I can’t say enough how free I feel knowing that I’m paring down what I offer to provide what I can pour the most joy into… signs.

So what does this mean?

Ms. Peach Plus Designs is focusing on providing quality prints and signs for lifestyle and weddings. This includes event signs as well as pieces you can put in your home and business signs/murals. This is where my love lies. Creating pieces that are a part of your lives and best memories is how I share my culture of southern hospitality with you.

Will I offer items I used to have in shop? Maybe one day I’ll incorporate a few of those ideas back into my line, but right now, I can serve you best as a creator of signs.

Speaking of which, I’m thrilled to share this art with you by offering classes and workshops on hand lettering and chalk lettering as well. I’m currently offering three types of workshops, and I’m open to custom workshops as well. You can select the type of workshop you’d like to host here.

This next chapter is sure to be an exciting adventure, and I can’t wait to share it with you!
