Wow, I’ve been away from the blog for quite a while! The break wasn’t planned, but it was refreshing (and necessary) just the same. I recently celebrated my 30th birthday, and contrary to what I once believed, the world didn’t stop because there are goals I haven’t reached by thirty. In fact, I feel more energized and confident that I ever did feel.
The weekend after my birthday, I went out. I went shopping, and ate at some of my favorite restaurants. The weather in Atlanta has been quite warm, so I have enjoyed being outside. If you follow me on Instagram, you will see that I have been indulging in some sweet treats that my city has to offer!
Last year was full of many emotions about what I haven’t accomplished yet, but the closer I got to my birthday, I realized I would be okay. I am where I am supposed to be in this life, and I am going to enjoy it. Last month, I soaked in so much. I spent time with friends and family and focused on tending to those relationships. I spent so much time “working” on one thing or another that I was surviving and not living.
My goals for the rest of this month are:
~Continue with decluttering. It’s AMAZING how much you can let go of when you are ready!
~Incorporate more movement into my day. I’ve been tracking my steps on my phone, and I don’t move as much as I thought I did. Every little bit helps!
~Have some dates with friends. In every relationship, you need to set aside time to catch up and reinforce your bond. I’m determined to do more of that.
Sometimes it’s important to just have fun. What will you do for fun this month?
